It can be pretty daunting as a new competition team member (especially for parents). Here's everything you need to know about competing in sanctioned and non-sanctioned events. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact your coach.
AAU Events
The majority of sanctioned events we participate in are AAU sanctioned events. Here's the checklist.
Equipment
- Own an official Team KUSA uniform.
- Own advanced competition forearm guards.
- Have a white helmet or both red and blue.
Registration
- Get an AAU season athlete pass.
- Register for the event.
- RSVP through the team calendar!
Preparation
- Team KUSA uniform clean and pressed?
- Nails trimmed? (They WILL check).
- No earrings or hard hair pins (girls).
- All equipment accounted for?
USAT Events
Sometimes we compete in USAT events. Here's the checklist.
Equipment
- Own an official Team KUSA uniform.
- Own advanced competition forearm guards.
- Have both a red and blue helmet.
- Own electronic sensor foot protectors.
- Own WTF Gloves.
Registration
- Register for the event.
- RSVP through the team calendar!
