Olympic Development Camp

Our Olympic Development Camps aren't just another sparring workout. They're designed around the belief that drilling a limited number of specific, effective concepts through a distinct learning progression is the best way for athletes to effectively implement new ideas.

One to three specific concepts

Our camps teach one to three specific techniques, strategies, or tactics that have been proven effective in competition. The students will move from drilling these concepts to the air or pads, to making them work in a controlled environment with partners, and finally to live sparring.

Learning progression

Students learn best when they are able to take a limited number of concepts from orientation, to implementation, to execution. We use this method of training to take concepts with steep learning curves and flatten them.

Effective implementation

Too often, students leave camps and seminars with information overload; they forget most of what they saw and they are able to effectively implement very little. Our Olympic Development Camps avoid that and athletes walk away with new tools that they will be able to consistently implement.

Electronic Scoring

During the sparring portion of the camp, you will be paired up with a partner and spar three rounds. The final round of each match will feature electronic scoring so you can see the actual scoring results as they would appear at a tournament. This helps athletes learn how to score consistently and fix issues that may be preventing them from scoring.

What People Are Saying

Your Olympic Development Camp is extremely well run and I loved the limited focus; it was really effective at taking me from learning a concept to actually pulling it off in a real match!

I was really impressed at the quality of the athletes in attendance and the mix of athletes was great. Sometimes I was pushed hard and other times I was able to relax and focus on making the concepts work. Perfect!

As a beginner, I had a great time. The explanation of the concepts was very clear and easy to understand. I really appreciate how the instructors walk around and offer guidance throughout the entire camp!
